FDA-APPROVED INJECTIONS

Champey Pain and Spine of NJ uses FDA-approved injection therapy that relaxes muscles and can be used for the treatment of neck pain, back pain, and migraine headaches. These injections work to block the signals that are sent through the nerve to the affected muscles which result in pain.

WHAT ARE FDA-APPROVED INJECTIONS?

The FDA-approved injection therapy for neck pain, back pain and chronic migraine headaches only take a matter of minutes. A surgeon, anesthesiologist or pain management specialist uses a fine needle to place injections directly into the muscles that are overactive or causing pain. The injections typically begin working within 3-10 days, and the results usually last about three to four months. Once the muscles are relaxed, many patients not only experience pain relief but also an improved range of motion. Although a single injection is effective, multiple injection cycles seem to work better for patients in order to keep the pain at bay.
