WHAT IS P-STIM PLACEMENT & PROGRAMMING?

P-STIM is a small, discreet device that is applied behind a patient’s ear and weighs only seven grams. Once the device is installed, it provides a steady current of low-frequency electrical impulses specific nerve endings located in the outer ear. A typical P-STIM placement and programming procedure takes less than 15 minutes, requires no anesthesia and is a natural treatment option for people of all ages. While the initial P-STIM treatment may immediately mitigate pain or provide total relief for acute pain sufferers, additional treatments are typically needed in order to specifically address each patient’s needs and for those suffering from chronic, debilitating pain. Therapies can be applied for up to nine weeks, in order for patients to see accumulated pain relief results.
